SXSW 2006 Press Clips: Round One

In preparation for the 2006 SXSW Film Festival, some filmmakers are making the rounds with the media. Since we announced the lineup of features this week, filmmakers are starting to speak out about their projects and upcoming debuts:

- Paola Mendoza and Gabriel Noble chat with the Jersey City Reporter regarding their documentary premiere, Autumn's Eyes.

- Indie musicians Band Marino talk to the Orlando Sentinel about their trek to the festival, playing a music showcase but also supporting their score in the SXSW premiere, The Last Romantic.

- Comedian/actor Andy Dick sheds some light on his own upcoming dual role at SXSW. He checks in with the National Ledger about the debut of his directorial effort Danny Roane: First Time Director, but also his scheduled musical performance at the festival.

- Indie-rock singer/songwriter Daniel Smith is the subject of a brief article from Billboard, in which he speaks briefly about the new, SXSW-bound documentary, Danielson: A Family Movie.
