As part of the BNAT epilogue, I caught an advanced screening of Alfonso Cuaron's Children of Men, tonight. It's the best Terry Gilliam movie that Terry Gilliam never directed.
That was the same initial reaction I had after seeing "Pan's Labyrinth."
children of men, was a bit terry gilliam, but pans labyrinth? what? its more david cronenbourg, dark, twisted and unrelenting, fantasy but rooted in grim and gritty reality. terry gilliam(!?), its more sofia coppola than terry gilliam.
