The 2006 iW Blog Poll

Fellow indieWIRE blogger Tom Hall enlisted the iW blog roster to participate in a year-end film poll. My full, 2006 films list will be up here in the next couple weeks (I bet you can't wait), but here are my picks for the poll:

Best Film: Babel
Best Performance: Sacha Baron Cohen in Borat
Best Supporting Performance: (tie) Robert Downey, Jr. in A Scanner Darkly; Zoe Weizenbaum in Twelve and Holding; Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls
Best Director: Michael Winterbottom for The Road To Guantanamo and Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story
Best Screenplay: Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story (Frank Cottrell Boyce)
Best First Film: Half Nelson (Dir./Scr. Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden)
Best Documentary: My Country, My Country (Dir. Laura Poitras)
Best Cinematography: United 93 (Barry Ackroyd)
Best Undistributed Film: Jam (Dir. Mark Woollen)
