I find myself in total agreement with Dave Kehr's picks for DVDs of the year, courtesy of The New York Times. In particular, he's dead-on by highlighting the Criterion Collection release of Eric Rohmer's box set, Six Moral Tales (arguably one of the most important DVD releases in the last couple years), which is a big 2006 fave of mine. Plus, Reds and the John Wayne/John Ford collection, are essential viewing. Get these classics now.
