Was re-watching Woody Allen's masterful Match Point tonight on one of the HBOs. Staggering to see Matthew Goode playing an upper-class Englishman, something that seems a natural fit for his good looks and his clean British accent. And, something he's primarily done and known for, in his young career. Just a reminder of how good he is, in Scott Frank's The Lookout, where he plays an unkempt, Midwestern thug. Along with Isla Fisher, he's a foreign-born actor playing an American in the new film. See them both, onscreen and in real life, when The Lookout premieres on Opening Night at SXSW 2007.
Hi Matt,
I can't wait to see this movie as I would love to see Matthew play a bad guy for once.
Unfortunately I don't live in the US. So I won't be able to visit the festival.
In december I made a fansite for Matthew Goode....and I really am pleased to see people are getting more and more positive about him...!
I have to wait for a bit though...the movie premieres somewhere in september in The Netherlands...!
So I can't wait to read the reviews of the movie!
Please let me know what you think of the site...and I can't wait to read your review of the festival.
Cheers,
Suzette
