On Tuesday night, the Austin Film Society hosted a fundraiser screening of Luke and Andrew Wilson's The Wendell Baker Story, which THINKFilm will release on May 18 in New York, L.A., Austin, and Dallas. Some may remember that The Wendell Baker Story had its world premiere as the Opening Night Film of SXSW 2005, so it's great to see this Texas-made feature finally get a theatrical release. The screening (with brothers Luke, Owen, and Andrew in tow) was a total sell-out at the Alamo South Lamar, and was followed by an after-party at local bar Club DeVille (and yes, Kate Hudson was there).
