At SXSW 2006, we premiered Barry Poltermann's documentation of character actor Charles Nelson Reilly's one-man show, Life of Reilly. About two weeks before the festival, we received word from the team that Reilly would be unable to attend the premiere, due to an unexpected illness. Unfortunately, it would be something from which he would never recover. Reilly passed away a few days ago, due to complications from pneumonia, at the age of 76. Filmmaker/blogger AJ Schnack lets Poltermann do the remembering of this funny and groundbreaking performer.
