Opening night of Silverdocs included Jim (not the football player) Brown's documentary, Pete Seeger: The Power of Song. It was a great way to kick off the fest, as the doc is an entertaining and uplifting document of the legendary folk singer. A lot of fun, and really charming. The film even had the audience singing and clapping along, at various points. Meanwhile, my jury duty is kicking into high gear, and of course I will not write about that whole process nor the films I'm watching for the competition. Nonetheless, I expect there to be plenty to share. Here are some pics from Opening Night:





That's a good photo of diners at Jackie's, can be used for some kind of an ad campaign I think . It's got a certain Robert Frank/The Americans feel to it.
You should publish the best of your film fest travel photos as a book, since you seem to attend many of them.
