I have a friendly wager with a member of the film industry about what kind of business Seth Gordon's The King of Kong will do in August when it comes to theaters. And, the thing is, both of us are fans of the film. It's just one of those documentaries that wins over just about any audience that sees it, and we were thrilled to have it at SXSW this year. Over at AICN, Harry Knowles links to the recently-released trailer for this great film.
I LOVED "The King of Kong" at the Atlanta Film Fest this year! It has a nearly archetypal villain and a hero, in a classic struggle. Also, its subject matter could well aim at that ever precious 16-30 year old demographic, which could make it a documentary phenom, not unlike the Penguins!
But then, there's Harry Potter V...
