Big congratulations to two films that got their start at SXSW 2007, and have just each won the LAFF Target Filmmaking prizes. Jennifer Venditti's beautfiul documentary, Billy the Kid, has won the jury prize and Chris Eska's nuanced narrative feature, August Evening, has as well. Billy won the Jury Award when it premiered at SXSW in the Documentary Competition, and August screened in our "Special Screenings" section. Congrats to Jennifer and Chris!
