Bujalski Wraps in Austin

Acclaimed filmmaker Andrew Bujalski (Funny Ha Ha, Mutual Appreciation) recently wrapped production on his still-untitled third feature, which has been shooting in Austin over the last month. On Wednesday night, the film had its wrap party at East Austin bar, Rio Rita. A fun time was had by all. Bujalski will leave Austin sometime in the near future and venture back to his Boston homebase to begin editing the film. Here are some pics I took at the wrap party:

(Bujalski, right, and producer Dia Sokol strike a pose as they celebrate the end of their shoot in Austin. Sokol also co-produced 'Mutual Appreciation.')

(Ethan Vogt, far left, is another returning Bujalski producer back onboard for this latest film. Here he's hanging at Rio Rita with 'Hannah Takes the Stairs' composer Kevin Bewersdorf, center, and 'Hannah'/'Old Joy' producer Anish Savjani.)

(Documentary filmmaker Heather Courtney, far left, relaxes at the wrap party with 'The Hole Story' director Alex Karpovsky, center, and 'Olympia' director Robert Byington, who prefers his profile to be seen - much like Bujalski. Karpovsky and Byington are in the new Bujalski film, with the former playing a prominent role. Byington, when he's not reading this blog, also cast Bujalski in his next feature.)
