Ledger and Gere as Bob Dylan

The Rock Daily blog has scored two photos from Todd Haynes' truly/madly/deeply anticipated new Bob Dylan biopic, I'm Not There. Haynes has cast a handful of different actors (and one actress) to portray the folk/rock legend throughout his turbulent life. These two photos feature Heath Ledger and Richard Gere, as two different Dylans in two different periods. Ledger appears to be playing the young, Freewheelin' era Dylan, while Gere appears to be playing the train-hopping-hobo era Dylan much later in life. He's probably on a train headed to either a minor league baseball park or a Victoria's Secret commercial shoot (I'm kidding, but that's what he looks like in the picture). Plus, Rock Daily has added that both My Morning Jacket's Jim James as well as Sonic Youth, deliver impressive Dylan covers in the film. Expect more tidbits to circulate, since the film is apparently screening very quietly around Manhattan.
