'Walk Hard'

The trailer for Jake Kasdan's mock-biopic, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, has arrived online presumably timed to the release of Superbad this weekend. Why? Because they are both produced by Knocked Up director Judd Apatow. Yes, the seemingly/hopefully neverending Apatow lineage continues this December and well into the new year (with Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Pineapple Express next summer).

Walk Hard is a story we all know too well: musician Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly) comes of age in poverty and tragedy to make it big as a pop musician... only to lose it all in a "dark period." And, we can assume he rebounds eventually. But, unlike Ray, Walk the Line, Coal Miner's Daughter, etc... this one is intentionally hilarious at dishing out the cliches. Click over to /Film, where they have the amusing new trailer.
