AFI/AFM 2007.5: A 'Juno' and 'Big Rig' Evening

After a flurry of meetings and screenings on Monday afternoon, I ventured over to AFI Fest, to take part in the one-two punch that was the gala Centerpiece Premiere of Jason Reitman's ultra-hilarious Juno and the triumphant L.A. premiere of Doug Pray's epic road documentary Big Rig (a SXSW 2007 premiere). Here are some photos I snapped during the night:

(The Juno street - running - team poses for a photo while they run laps around the Arclight, chanting "See Juno, December 5!" You have to see the film to understand how they fit in.)

(Across the way from the Juno celebration, was the after-party for Doug Pray's trucker doc, Big Rig. At the party, here's producer Brad Blondheim, left, and Pray.)

(Performing at the Big Rig celebration is rapper Buck 65, right, who composed and performed several new songs for the documentary.)
