'Munyurangabo' Wins AFI Fest

Lee Isaac Chung's Munyurangabo is easily one of the best American debut features of 2007. After acclaimed, but under-the-radar, screenings in Cannes and Toronto, the tempered story of two Rwandan teenagers on a cryptic walkabout is small but powerful. As this year's AFI Fest wraps, indieWIRE shares the news that the film has earned the grand jury prize for the event. Who knows what future Munyurangabo may have ahead, but I'm guessing festivals will be the number one place to catch it for the time being.
