'There Will Be' Midnight Screenings

Paul Thomas Anderson's epic and amazing There Will Be Blood is having a collection of special midnight screenings around the nation on December 29. The film starts opening in limited release this week, but about a dozen other cities can get a sneak peek. In Austin, the screening will go down at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz. Fitting, since the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar hosted the first public screening of the film back in September as part of Fantastic Fest. It may be an odd time of day to see a three-hour epic, but this is the kind of film that needs to be seen any time of day or night. It's astonishing.
