Over at the Austin Movies Blog, Chris Garcia takes a look at the new Criterion Collection DVD release of Monte Hellman's classic American road picture, Two-Lane Blacktop. The packaging, in particular, gets a dose of examination. It was crafted by Austin graphic designer Marc English, who also handled Criterion packaging duties for Criterion releases of Slacker, Dazed and Confused, My Own Private Idaho, and Naked. Turns out, Hellman himself agrees that it's a nifty package job.
