On Christmas night, we watched The Simpsons Movie on DVD. It actually played better for me, than when I saw it in theaters this summer. Odd. But, then, I thought maybe it's because I've been watching these characters and this world for almost 20 years on television. And, ultimately, maybe that's where they work best.
