New Year's Etiquette

When is it okay to not say "Happy New Year" to everyone you speak or email with? I'm gonna go with this weekend as my deadline to get in all my "Happy New Year" greetings to people. Starting next week, it's just gonna return to normal. And, by the way, Happy New Year.
