Here's an example of why it's a good idea to put your phone away when the movie starts: I received a CNN Breaking News text message about the sudden death of actor Heath Ledger, during the last third of a screening here at Sundance. While I was able to move forward and continue with the screening experience, I admit that it took a good three or four minutes to get back into a normal state of mind. It's a tragedy. Heath Ledger? Really? Very sad, a real shock.
