Jarren and I were just leaving the new North Austin sushi restaurant Kenobi (after a nice Valentine's dinner) when I received an email from Icelandic filmmaker Olaf de Fleur. He wrote: "Hi Matt, we just won the Teddy Award for best feature film in Berlin at the Panorama!" He was referring to his Berlin premiere, The Amazing Truth about Queen Raquela, which will have its North American Premiere in the Emerging Visions section at SXSW 2008.
