New media, movies, music, sports, politics & absurdity... from New York City (and beyond).

Just stumbled upon the new North American trailer for Thomas McCarthy's feature, The Visitor, which will screen at SXSW 2008. Click here to watch it (after the Vantage Point commercial). McCarthy's follow-up to The Station Agent, this film is a poignant and intelligent American drama with a dash of politics thrown in.
Was just checking out The Visitor's official site, and it looks like it's gonna be a really interesting look at the immigration system in this country. You can find more clips from the movie too:

The Visitor will be in theaters April 11
I caught The Visitor when it was in theaters, and it was one of my favorite films of the whole year! Richard Jenkins from Six Feet Under was outstanding, and the message of friendship throughout the movie was very powerful. The Visitor will be released on DVD October 7th, and I definitely plan on buying it. If you haven't seen the movie yet, you can find more info here: thevisitorfilm.com
