Brolin and His 'X' Coming to SXSW

Josh Brolin, one of the stars of the very deserving multiple Oscar-winning film No Country For Old Men, directed a short film called X. After catching it in Santa Barbara last month, Jeffrey Wells called it "a first-rate effort -- well-shot, nicely paced, engagingly acted." He's correct, and we're happy to have the film screen at SXSW 2008. It will screen before the documentary feature, Tulia, Texas, a film that shares a similar crime-in-a-desert-town vibe. Brolin, as well as his daughter Eden who stars in the short, are scheduled to attend the first SXSW screening on Saturday, March 8. Be sure to check it out.
