We're thrilled to have local filmmaker Ellen Spiro's new documentary (with Phil Donahue), Body of War, hold its Austin premiere during SXSW 2008. The film, which premiered to much acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival last autumn, will not only have a powerful screening on Thursday, March 13 at the Paramount Theatre, but it will be followed by an all-star concert in conjunction with the SXSW Music Festival. That bill includes: Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, System of a Down singer Serj Tarkian, Moldy Peaches singer (and Juno sensation) Kimya Dawson, as well as much much more. Expect some surprise guests to show up as well. All of this is in honor of the film and its soundtrack, which will be released on March 18. Isn't it nice when the stars can align like this?
