Charlie showed me this video, recently taken from one of Paula Nelson's regular gigs at the Saxon Pub in Austin. Things get odd and violent once a drunk fan tries to rush the stage. And, while I'm fully aware of a performer trying to protect their safety, don't you think Paula and the crowd take it just a little too far? Her dad Willie loves to practice martial arts (no joke), and it appears to run in the family...

The Paula Nelson video is back up on youtube ...although she does have a black belt in Karate, it was staged for a friend of hers in New York ...

Nice even your dad had better class than that. Glad to see your not stepping out on your dad's coat tails, as for the gutless wimps that beat on him as they're dragging him out, I'd love to be there next time something like that happens to even the tables...gutless pukes, I'm sure your wives needed another beating...
