Wednesday to Sunday this week, I'll be at the Sarasota Film Festival and serve on the Documentary Jury along with Liesl Copland and AJ Schnack. I'm excited to attend what I've heard is a great festival, and very happy to support my pals Tom Hall and Holly Herrick in their endeavors as great programmers.

I hope to have a few photos and anecdotes to share (away from the jury room), but on a personal level, this should be a great trip. My family once took a weekend getaway to Sarasota when I was in high school. Being a stubborn, rebellious teenager I refused to go with them. Like a lot of things in life, once I got over puberty, I regretted that decision. So, finally, I can make my own amends. And, even better, I'm staying at the same hotel my family was at 10 years ago. No kidding.
