In L.A., South Toward Home

I capped a really enjoyable weekend in West Hollywood (didn't really leave that part of town) with a benefit comedy show at the Troubadour. On Saturday night, a collection of comedians gathered for a bill to raise cash for South Toward Home, an organization dedicated to raising money for Katrina victims. When I got to L.A., the show was sold-out, but I wanted to attend and I also wanted to support the cause. With a little help from Bob Odenkirk, I was able to get in and donate some cash. By the time we arrived, Sarah Silverman was wrapping up her brief set. After her, there was a musical interlude by L.A. based band Foreign Born. The co-headliners of the night were former Ben Stiller Show colleagues Odenkirk and Janeane Garofalo. They flipped a coin, to see who would go on last. Garofalo "won," but for my money, Odenkirk was a bigger hit with the crowd. This is also when I took a few photos:
