Nick & Nora and J&B

Last night, I seized the opportunity to catch the classic 1934 film The Thin Man, at the Alamo Ritz. I'd seen the film before (it's sooo good), though not since childhood, and this was going to be a defiantly unique experience. The film screened as part of the Alamo's new "Cinema Cocktails" series, born out of the Ritz's recent ability to serve hard liquor. So, what better way to honor that new distinction, than by screening some booze-induced classics? It was a fun evening, and lemme tell you, I had forgotten how much The Thin Man makes you want to drink. Click here for future "Cinema Cocktails" installments, which include the Sex and the City movie with cosmos and The Big Lebowski with White Russians. Something tells me we're not gonna find The Lost Weekend or Leaving Las Vegas on the schedule.
