New media, movies, music, sports, politics & absurdity... from New York City (and beyond).

I've been in the air, from city to city, and I still wanna take a moment to share this sweet lil MP3 (premiering on Stereogum) from everyone's favorite buzz band of 2008: Vampire Weekend. And, it's a new song, from an upcoming film.
The band is in good company on the soundtrack for Peter Sollet's Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which includes Bishop Allen, Band of Horses, and more. And, I've heard good things about this Michael Cera/Kat Dennings NYC comedy since it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Can't wait to see it, and by the looks of it, the soundtrack is great as well. Which brings us back to the novel, familiar, and easy joy that is "Ottoman" by Vampire Weekend.
I'm so ready for ACL. I've never been but I can only imagine the intensity of the weekend. To go along with all the parties, this site has some interesting musical events too www.undiscoveredaustin.com
