Hailing from Brooklyn, the indie-pop act known as Chairlift is a pleasant surprise these days. The band will play at New York's Bowery Ballroom on October 18 before a series of dates during the CMJ Music Marathon around Manhattan. I visited their MySpace page, which samples three new songs, and they're stellar. Maybe even interstellar. Check it out.
