First Episodes, Not Bad

I was very skeptical, but I'm actually now a little optimistic for this Fall's crop of TV sitcoms. The season premiere of The Office was probably one of the best-written episodes they've ever done (and that's saying something), the season premiere of Parks & Recreation hints that this series may have found its footing, the season premiere of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia proved that this show will not lose its edge as it becomes more popular, the season premiere of How I Met Your Mother implies that the show has not jumped the shark with the evolution of Barney/Robin, and the series premiere of Modern Family signals what might be the best new sitcom this year.
