On Thursday night, the worst-kept secret at SXSW came to life: seminal L.A. alt-rockers Jane's Addiction reunited for a "surprise" late-night show in East Austin, as part of the annual C3/Playboy party during the festival. It was jaw-dropping, amazing:

(Lead singer Perry Farrell, right, and guitarist Dave Navarro come storming out of the gate at the beginning of the band's hour-long set on Thursday night. Opening with the epic "Three Days," the band ripped through ferocious song after ferocious song: "Been Caught Stealing," "Mountain Song," etc. The capacity crowd, jammed into an old grocery store, enjoyed a memorable night.)
