Let me start with an anecdote: My paternal grandfather was a singer, primarily big band and jazz standards. One of his signature tunes was the Marks/Simons composition, "All of Me." As a kid, I would hear him perform the song with gusto, and as I got older, I realized the poetic and poignant sentiment behind it. "Your goodbye left me with eyes that cry. And I know that I am no good without you. You took the part that once was my heart. So, why not take all of me." For years, I always thought, "will I ever meet someone who makes me feel like that?"
