Can Facebook Inc. (FB) continue to climb and climb without a hiccup? The stock is zooming to all-time-high territory. It is adding users. It is skating past such irritants as privacy debates and growth concerns.
But even Icarus flew too close to the sun. Facebook will have to keep ringing up strong financial results to impress Wall Street, which has been known to turn rapidly on high-flyers.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg & Co. are doing everything right these days. When analysts questioned whether Facebook was still in vogue with coveted tyoung users, it went out and bought WhatsApp for a cool $19 billion. Suddenly, the clamor dropped to a whisper.
