Consider this a Public Service Announcement in case you live in Hollywood and are transacting business with someone in New York City. Tread lightly.
This is a sad day in greater New York City. It is raining outside.
It is raining buckets, to be precise.
This is a problem because, it would seem, roughly 99.9 percent of the people who work in the entertainment and media industries in the New York City metropolitan area have planned all week to go away for the weekend, out to their summer homes in the Hamptons or, if they're iconoclasts, up to the mountains north of the city.
Now, when they get to their destinations, they're going to be soaked -- and pissed off.
Expect to hear a lot of grouchy Noo Yawk accents this weekend, with rain steadily in the forecast.
Or, you can get in the spirit of Madison Avenue and enjoy National Donut Day.
What a crock, really. EVERY DAY could be National Donut Day.
