It's amusing to review the comments early on Sunday evenings -- before Mad Men goes on the air on AMC. You'd think people were fretting about a friend about to undergo a medical procedure, because the comments are so grave and worrisome about the upcoming episode.
Mad Men diehards really have a lot invested in this show.
They're all so uneasy, I suspect, because, deep down they worry and worry that their favorite TV series has -- yikes -- jumped the shark -- that is, peaked. This causes them great stress.
Then, after the show airs that evening, they're all smiles again -- The operation was a success! Whew! That was scary!
The fact is that Mad Men is doing just fine.
Jon Hamm is completely engaged in his character, the iconic Don Draper.
The writers have injected enough plot twists -- romantic, sexual, historical, professional, psychological -- to keep everyone guessing about what might come next.
Hey, I have to run. MadMen is about to go on and I have a date on Facebook, monitoring all the mishegas.
