If we learned one lesson from the Emmy nominations the other day, it was that the television networks no longer call the shots when it comes to spreading Emmy excitement these days.
Forget the good old days of having only three major networks. The meaningful dramas are all on cable and Netflix.These are the entities daring to present bold, quirky plot lines. The key: They acknowledge that their audiences are smart, hp and eager to be challenged.
