    North American rights to Woody Allen's "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" have been acquired by The Weinstein Company. The new film, called "funny, sexy and smart" in a statement by Harvey Weinstein, stars Javier Bardem, Patricia Clarkson, Penelope Cruz, Kevin Dunn, Rebecca Hall, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Messina.
