The poster for Lars Von Trier's "Melancholia," which will screen in competition at the upcoming Festival de Cannes. This is Von Trier's eleventh Cannes selection with previous films including the Palme d’Or and Best Actress winner "Dancer in the Dark" and Grand Prix winners "Breaking the Waves" and "Europa." "Melancholia" co-star Charlotte Gainsbourg received the Best Actress award at the 2009 edition of the festival for von Trier’s "Antichrist." The film is described as a "beautiful movie about the end of the world."

The trailer for Lars Von Trier's latest, "Melancholia," widely believed to be in Cannes this year, launched today. It has been described as a "beautiful movie about the end of the world," starring Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland as well as Alexander Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, John Hurt, Stellan Skarsgård, Udo Kier and Jesper Christensen.
