Rania's 2009 MidYear Top Films
In the first half of the year, I saw more great films than I could fit on a Top Ten, but for the sake of discipline, here's my list, culled from New York theatrical releases from January thru June:

The tendency is to forget the first half of the year when we're making our Top Tens in December!!!

I always like your movie recommendations. We seem to share the same taste. When I haven't already seen the films you recommend, I seek them out on NetFlix. Your list of the Best of 2009 (so far) has many obscure films, or ones that had short runs (in NYC). Your readers might want to know which movies are now available on DVD and if NetFlix has them. I saw Sleep Dealer in a theater.
