The arrogance of the Bens (and why I prefer Robin+boywonder, blacknerd, Brit_twins, and makemebad)

Factory fresh and self important, the two Bens were scripted from birth to luck into some plum gig like the latest incarnation of the classic "Siskel & Ebert" show. I say, "Skip it!"

I reached my boiling point when they proclaimed, "Skip 'Synecdoche, New York' because WE didn't understand it."

Whoa.

Look, a number of respected critics didn't like the film, but they came to it with knowldege and depth. That's all we ask.

If I want to see nonprofessionals review films, I'll watch "Movie Mob," on ReelzChannel where authentic viewers (known by their screen names) send webcam commentary on the latest major releases. Just a few of my favorite personalities are: cool duo Robin+boywonder, Smurf loving blacknerd, accented Brit_twins, and perpetual winner makemebad.

Their review of "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" was so hilarious, I fell off the couch.

No sound bites here.

I totally agree! Why do hire rich snobs to tell us which movies suck or rock? It's ironic the give good reviews to bad movies and the boo the good movies! That's why I love Movie Mob! Thye are everyday people just like you and me!
