Get Ready for FUN!

Just when you thought it was safe to....I don't know....live or something, here comes that irascible babbling scamp with less tact than Dubya at a rose garden press conference; and he's back to show us what's what about humor, war, love, and bodies being torn to shreds by explosives. Yuk yuk yuk.

Albert Brooks may be "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World," (or at this moment "Looking for Distribution in the English-Speaking World, Fruitlessly"), but Benigni seems to have already found it. Undoubtedly it will involve his barely speaking wife looking on at her husband with beaming pride as he saves the world with his "comedy." (Just to recap, folks, in that LOLocaust flick he did some years back, the kid OPTS to stay in the concentration camp to win that tank....discuss, and if you liked it at the time and you weren't five years old, you should go fucking shoot yourself now.)

I especially can't wait for this one's climactic scene, which "is a gag on the theme of suicide bombing." So, first Hany Abu-Assad makes suicide bombing sexy...now Benigni makes it adorable. Not since the Nazis took back Christmas in Polar Express have I been this excited about film's leveling possibilities.
