TV One is spinning off its popular and successful series Unsung, launching an offshoot titled Unsung Hollywood, which will premiere on February 26, 2014

Unlike the network's successful Unsung, which is a music biography franchise (and which returns on January 29), Unsung Hollywood's focus will be on the stars of film and television primarily.

Already lined up as subjects of individual episodes are Pam Grier, Robin HarrisKadeem Hardison, Dick Gregory, Flip Wilson and others.

As is the case with Unsung, episodes of Unsung Hollywood will include the usual talking head interviews and archival clips.

Here's a preview of what's coming:

Hope they remember to include actors and directors from indie films and not just non-speaking extras from blaxploitation movies.

I agree with Ava TVOne, I've looked and looked for the actors of the cast of Claudine such a wonderful movie. I'm hoping you will be able to let us all know how the cast members are doing. We know James Earl Jones, Diane Caroll and Lawrence Hilton Jacobs, but where are the others?

You've done a great job with Unsug, I which you well with this new endeavor.

    Sincerely,

    Karen Hamiilton

I know that some scoff at Unsung's production values but the sad fact of the matter is, is that if Unsung weren't doing most of these bios, nobody else would be doing them. Here's hoping that the production values do increase though, but I'm still interested in watching what they have to offer.

When I'm watching, the production value is the least of it. I'm just glad they put out the stories of people many have forgotten.
