Some more casting news courtesy of Deadline...

Vanessa Williams will co-star in the new supernatural drama pilot for ABC titled 666 Park Avenue, which is based on the Alloy book series by Gabriella Pierce. The project revolves around a "young couple (Rachael Taylor, Dave Annable) who accept an offer to manage one of the most historic apartment buildings in New York City." Hence the title, the tennants in the building begin to experience dangerous and mysteriously supernatural occurrences.

Williams will play the cold and sophisticated wife of the building owner, played by Terry O'Quinn.

Williams, who is the first in the cast of Desperate Housewives to book another pilot, is completing the final season of that ABC series, in which she plays a divorcee named Renee Perry.

Vanessa keeps getting work and this sounds like a good show. I agree with Yawn about the American Horror Story similarity and the similarity between these shows and a Dean Koontz book I recently read called 77 Shadow Street.

Yeah, I knew the only reason ABC put her on DH was so that they could hold onto her until they could find a new project for her. They didn't want to lose her to another network and for good reason: she's awesome!

I'm happy for Vanessa! She's been a great addition to DH..great to see that she's been able to find something else :)

A residential play on the Tishman Building on 5th Avenue (always gave me the heebee geebies)... Never payed attention to the book for similar reasons, amongst others - Love 'nessa, though... She'll be great... I have no doubts.
