  read the first script and have a friend working on the film. This is not a "white savior" movie. It is Django's, and he kicks much ass.

  "Christopher Waltz show" The script indicated this is Waltz's movie, not Kerry Washington's, not Jamie Foxx's. Tarantino wrote Waltz as the true lead of this slave story.

  Despite the ending, I believe Waltz was written as the true lead of the story. Django is the title character, but not the lead character.

  If you've read the script, and based on the way you speak about it with such confident certainty, you know the ending BONDGIRL is talking about. Django is most definitely the hero of the film, and it was a wise choice to make it a buddy film. Dr Shultz begins the story as merely a guide to Django and over time they develop a mutual respect and true friendship, Django becoming fully independent man

  You're incorrect, and you know it. If what you say had any shred of truth, the ending wouldn't be what it is. And at what point was it ever to be Kerry? Or did you just throw her in to pad your point?

  Looks Like a Hard-Ass Sergio Leone Western!...Tarantino's movie is designed to blow people's gaskets. He knows what he's doing ~ by Anne Thompson. OH MY... I love Sergio Leone westerns, they're the best of the best. And I know another HUGE Sergio Leone fan. That be our very own Sergio Mims. In fact, he has said westerns are his favorite genre. So I am eager to hear what he has to say about this "southern," bang-up western, packed with physical comedy and bloody action and hell-bent revenge. Well, indieWIRE's own Anne Thompson wrote those words. She said that's how Tarantino and the Weinstein Co. is selling the movie. I don't know who's selling what but Ms Thompson is pulling me in -- my nose is wide open. Heck, check the following: "Don Johnson plays plantation owner Big Daddy; watching Django [ Jamie Fox ] stalk across the grounds to shoot one of the men who abused him is chilling. He whips another to death". Damn, where's Sergio? Get him on the line. I hear there's 45 more minutes floating around (that's what Anne said), and we need a black man's POV. But wait, we don't need any ol'black film critic, we need one that has years of knowledge and love of westerns -- and films in general. Get Sergio!

  Hollywood's always has to release at least 1 white savior movie a year. Last year it was "The Help" and this year it will be "Django Unchained".
