Viva Riva! star Hoji Fortuna will assume one of the lead roles in an upcoming indie feature film titled Marked Man (www.markedman2012.com).
Rounding out the starring cast in the action/thriller are Jaiden Kaine, Celestine Rae and Gregory Sherad Martin, with Chris Emmons directing.
Marked Man tells the story about Derek Jones, a man who specializes in a very delicate art- Death. Up until a few months ago Derek was a part of an elite organization, M.A.R.C. M.A.R.C.: Military Attaché Resistance Commission, was created by revolutionary strategist, Wayne Connor, back in the 70s to preemptively eliminate national and international threats to America. With his Marine background and devotion to his country Derek felt compelled to join M.A.R.C.s cause. In the process Derek became one of M.A.R.C.s greatest assets and performed his duties with great skill, precision and deadly results. That all changed in one mission when he stumbles upon a M.A.R.C. secret he was never supposed to know. A secret that would turn M.A.R.C.s greatest weapon against them. The man they once lauded is now the one man who could destroy them and they will stop at nothing to ensure that that doesn't happen, by any means necessary.
Jaiden Kaine plays Derek Jones; Fortuna plays Roman, a former partner of Derek's at M.A.R.C., who's sent, along with Victoria (played by Celestine Rae), also a former partner, by the organization to find Derek, in order to protect the secret he stumbles upon.
Gregory Sherad Martin (himself a former marine) penned the script, and is also producing the film through his Black Diamond Pictures production company.
Principal photgraphy is scheduled to begin early this year.
