50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) joins the previously cast Nia Long in Fox's action comedy Spy, which will be directed by Paul Feig (The Heat, Bridesmaids).
Starring Melissa McCarthy, the film centers on a novice CIA analyst (played by Melissa McCarthy) who goes out into the field for the first time, to track down the person responsible for the death of her lover, played by Jude Law.
50 Cent will be playing himself in the film, while Long will play the role of a top CIA official.
Also on board are Jason Statham (who will play an “overconfident yet clumsy spy”), Rose Byrne, British comedienne Miranda Hart, and Bobby Cannavale, who will be one of the villains in the film - a rich Italian playboy.
The busy Fiddy is one busy man, in front of and behind the camera, with an upcoming new TV series he's producing for the STARZ network (Power, starring Omari Hardwick), to a role alongside Bruce Willis and John Cusack in the upcoming thriller The Prince, and of course, his music.
Filming for Spy will begin this month in Budapest for a spring 2015 release.
