Since Pariah burst onto the film scene last year, director Dee Rees' name certainly has been in the news, with a small handful of projects she's attached to in some facet, whether for TV or feature film - the HBO series with Viola Davis, the Southern-set thriller Bolo, and the feature film Large Print, about a recently divorced insurance adjuster.

Tambay reported back in February (HERE) the news that plans were well under way for a stage musical adaptation of the Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner 1992 film The Bodyguard, which will open on the West End theater district in London at the Adelphi Theater on November 6th.

Tracey Edmonds and Basketball Wives star Shaunie O'Neal (ex-wife of Shaquille O'Neal) have sold a pitch to Fox Searchlight for an untitled project that will be penned by Jumping The Broom co-writer Elizabeth Hunter.

Time flies... seems like it was just a few weeks ago when Joyful Noise was in theaters. Oh yeah, it was; it closed its theatrical run on March 30th, just about a month ago. And today it's out on DVD/Blu-ray.
