S&A isn't attending the Berlin International Film Festival this year (although I'm planning on it for 2013), but thankfully an S&A reader, Denise VanDeCruze (The Mic Movement - Amplifying Art In Berlin & Beyond) is there, and offered to write up some reviews for me to share here.Here are 2 of a few more to come - both films that have been profiled/covered here on S&A so they shouldn't be too foreign to you if you've been reading.

We've already told you that it's coming... Lionsgate and Tyler Perry are broadening their already mutually profitable relationship by launching a cable TV channel that was tentatively called Tyler TV. when it was first announced last summer, but in the below clip featuring the man himself speaking with Jay Leno, he's asked what the new network is going to called and he says he's thinking of calling it TylerVision.

Even though Rihanna may have appeared in the Battleship trailer for a milisecond, director Peter Berg gushed about the superstar singer's acting prowess and her role in the upcoming action sci-fi flick, which hits theaters May 18th, 2012.

It's a film I first profiled last March and since then has become a must-see flick on the film festival circuit garnering much buzz.  It even won the "Best Narrative Feature" Award at the 2011 Bahamas International Film Festival.  Now, New Yorkers get a chance to check it out tonight at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater.

Director Stephen Frears (Interview with A Vampire) has announced that he will not cast an actor for the role of Muhammad Ali in his soon-in-production HBO film Muhammad's Ali's Greatest Fight, and will instead use achival footage of Ali for his film.
