By now I think we all know that Danai Gurira  has been cast as Michonne in AMC's hit zombie drama series The Walking Dead, and we should see a lot of her in season 3 (we hope), after her brief hooded intro towards the end of last night's season 2 finale of the show!

We last posted about this film back in April of last year, when Cynthia reported that Keke Palmer would star in the upcoming Nickelodeon TV film Rags, produced by Nick Cannon, directed by Billy Woodruff (Honey) and scored by Rodney Jerkins.

According to Savannahnow.com, the Annette Haywood-Carter-helmed drama, held a private screening at the Trustees theater for an audience of approximately 400 people, including the film's cast and crew.

Well, it looks like its a definite go now; Pathe International has reportedly come on board to financially back Idris Elba's Nelson Mandela biopic (along with South Africa-based Distant Horizon, which they are desribing as "the largest South African production ever mounted!"
